Studio Etiquette

 
  • Class starts on time, our doors open 15 minutes before class and we recommend getting there early, late comers may not be admitted. Equally, please don’t arrive more than 15 minutes early. Let the class before yours use the changing rooms to shower before your class goes in.

  • Finish telephone conversations and turn off your mobile phone before entering reception

  • Leave shoes on shoe shelves provided

  • Please keep body and feet clean when attending class. If necessary, feel free to shower before class. As a courtesy to fellow students, please avoid perfumes and colognes

  • A kind note to smokers: Please brush your teeth and change your clothing before class as all odours are enhanced in the heated room

  • Students are expected to stay for the entire duration of the class. It is important to stay until the end of class. Postures towards the end of the series are designed to calm, cool and re-energize you

  • No talking in the yoga studio during the class or after class. When the class has finished, please leave quietly. Feel free to talk and get to know each other in the reception area before class starts!

  • Lockers are provided for your belongings. Please avoid bringing valuables with you as Bikram (UK) Ltd. cannot be responsible for any items lost or stolen.

  • Ensure any mobile phones/alarms are switched off in the studio

  • Avoid wearing jewellery or watches in class

  • If you have any medical conditions, injuries, recent surgeries or if you are pregnant, please advise the teacher before class starts

  • Please keep your mat lined up with the lines on the floor and when lying down keep your head at the top of the mat, that way you will give each student around you enough space

  • Please use recycling bins for all plastic bottles. Please dispose of any other rubbish appropriately

  • To be kinder to the environment and your fellow students, please keep duration of showers to 2-3 minutes

  • Please no bikini bathing suits or just underwear! Regular swimming trunks are OK

  • MOST OF ALL PLEASE BRING A POSITIVE ATTITUDE! KEEP AN OPEN MIND, AND AN OPEN HEART…
